PT500 PRIMARY TESTER

Primary Tester

Stop costly ignition problems before they begin: check your primary wiring & connectors with BG's PT500 primary tester.

BG's PT500 primary tester is a portable instrument designed to check for defective and worn wiring by detecting current leaks to ground. The unit is powered by 4 "C" size dry cell batteries. Output voltage is adjustable from 0-500 volts DC. A voltage drop from the initial setting indicates leakage.

  • Checks primary wiring and connectors.
  • Performs same function as a meggar but is easier to operate.
  • Shows shorts to ground that will not appear with an ohmmeter.
  • Includes batteries, probe lead, carrying case, and complete instructions.
